| A wet cold Thursday night in Ormskirk was no match for the warmth of the Ormskirk Priory Mark Lodge No1019 Installation meeting held on 23rd November at Ormskirk Masonic Hall. It was a rather special night for the lodge, who were getting a Master who had not already been through the chair for the first time in ten years! |

| Representing the Right Worshipful Provincial Master for this occasion was WBro Stuart Boyd Prov GSW and this was also his first time representing at Ormskirk. |
| When the Worshipful Master WBro Alan Burgess PProv AGDC had opened the lodge and the general business of the lodge had been concluded the Director of Ceremonies announced the PGM’s representative accompanied by Grand Officers. Once the greetings and salutations had been completed; the installing offices were put in place. |
| VWBro Fred Hargreaves PGJO, then presented the Master Elect, Bro James Roberts to the WM for installation. WBro Burgess had done a second year in the chair in order that he could be the Installing Master for Bro Roberts. |

| It was a warm and heartfelt ceremony. (There was also a total unintentional funny point during the inner workings.) WBro Burgess presented the working tools to the Master, while VWBro Fred Hargreaves did both the Keystone Jewell presentation and the address to the Master. Once the Wardens had been appointed, WBro Graham Radford PProv GSD gave the address. |
| The address to the Overseers was given by the DC WBro Allan Ashcroft PProv GMO. WBro Stuart Boyd gave an excellent address to the brethren. At the end of installation ceremony, WBro Boyd congratulated Bro Roberts on obtaining the chair and WBro Burgess for the ceremony on behalf of the PGM and also brought the PGM’s greetings to all those attending. |

| It was then the WM pleasant duty to present a very generous cheque for the Charities to WBro Boyd. During the risings WBro Stuart Boyd gave a faultless presentation of a Grand Lodge Certificate to Bro Neil Cooper and he also had the pleasure of presenting WBro Keith Morrison PProv.G.Insp.Wks with his patent of appointment, as WBro Keith had been in hospital at the time of the Provincial Meeting in May. A first class festive board followed the meeting. |
| Before the close of the evening the Master wished all present a Happy Christmas and New Year. We take this opportunity to congratulate Bro Roberts on becoming the new Master of Ormskirk Priory Mark Lodge and wish him and the lodge a successful year. |
